Calculate serial dilutions. Find the concentration after any number of dilution steps, or determine what dilution factor you need to reach a target concentration.
Calculate serial dilutions — either find the concentration at any step, or figure out what dilution factor you need to reach a target concentration.
How serial dilutions work
A serial dilution is a stepwise dilution where each step reduces concentration by a fixed factor. For example, a 1 to 10 dilution at each step means the concentration drops by 10 times per step. After 3 steps, the total dilution is 1 to 1000.
